Our Military..
I come from a proud military family, and from an early age, I was taught to respect and support the Marines, our soldiers and sailors. Many of my father's friends are honored at the D-Day Memorial in Beford, Virginia. I hope you'll not only visit the site-http://www.dday.org, but you'll honor those who fought and died on the beaches of Normandy by visiting this memorial dedicated to their sacrifice and courage.

In Farmington, New Mexico, a German Shepherd that had apparently been attacked by another dog managed to get itself to an emergency room ... for humans.
According to witnesses the dog walked into the E.R. bleeding from its nose and paw and limping because of a puncture wound on its leg.
Animal Control was called in and the dog was taken to a veterinary hospital for treatment. Its owner was eventually located and the dog was taken home. I've heard these German Shepherds are smart....

We are huge fans of this show at my house and in case you haven't seen it, the PBS program sends expert appraisers around the country to put price tags on items brought in by local residents. One woman, with a collection of old Chinese jade items she'd inherited from her father, learned exactly why it's never a good idea to throw away things that are just sitting in your attic. This woman tries to keep her cool when she's shocked to find out that her collection is worth about a million dollars. The appraiser tells her the total, and the only word she's able to utter is....take a look...

Taylor Swift's Fearless C-D was recognized as the most-awarded album in the history of country music at a ceremony in Nashville Wednesday night. According to Nashville's Tennesssean Taylor said, "I never expected I would get to stand up at awards shows as much as I have over the last year for this album." Fearless has won every album award in the country music genre, as well as the Grammy for all-genre Album of the Year. Her concert is this Saturday night in Charlottesville, and if you're going, don't forget to send us photos!

The term technical difficulties can mean a lot of things in a live T-V news broadcast. In this case, it clearly means that the reporter forgot he was reporting live and proceeded to throw a fit on the air, leaving his anchor back in the studio with a bewildered look on his face.
